ABOUT ME

I’m a UK-based theatre director working across original work, new adaptations, and artist development.

My work places intimate human relationships at the centre of ambitious storytelling. I’m particularly drawn to projects that reclaim women’s stories, excavate family relationships, and work through rigorous and ensemble-led physical processes.

In 2022, I directed Scissors, the final play in Chris Bush’s Rock, Paper, Scissors triptych at Sheffield Theatres, for which I received the UK Theatre Award for Best Director. I have gone on to collaborate with Chris several times since, including on her new adaptation of Ibsen’s A Doll’s House for Sheffield Theatres’ Crucible.

Alongside my own productions, I collaborate with directors on large-scale, new writing projects across the UK’s national theatre landscape, often shaping projects from their early development through to production.

My recent work includes revival directing Till The Stars Come Down in the West End and Dear England at the National Theatre, and well as associate directing Standing at the Sky’s Edge at Sheffield Theatres, the National Theatre and in the West End.

Before I became a director, I was a competitive Latin American and Ballroom dancer and teacher, and I’m a fully qualified personal trainer—both of which continue to inform my rigorous approach and physical practice.

I’m represented by Alexandra Cory at Berlin Associates.
